For those who see things differently – redefining university education through Business Study Missions…
For 2 weeks, across 3 countries, 23 will students embark upon the experience of a lifetime.
Singapore Management University believes that education lies beyond the walls of the classroom. The best way to learn about International Business isn’t from PowerPoint slides or textbooks, but to immerse oneself in a foreign culture completely.
Firstly, Norway, Denmark and Sweden are rated among the top 10 best places to do business worldwide by Forbes Magazine.
Secondly, Scandinavia is the birthplace of some of the world’s most famously cool companies: Lego, Ikea, Bang and Olufsen, H&M and Vestas just to name a few.
Finally, Denmark is the “happiest place on earth” as reported by BBC News – companies believe that a happy worker is a productive worker.
Business Study Mission Activities
Students visit Scandinavian companies and interact with representatives. A hands-on approach to learning business functions and corporate culture.
Students will undoubtedly reminisce their once in a lifetime experience, having grown wiser and becoming much more learned than they were before.
Admission to the BSM program is merit-based and needs-blind.
Students are admitted based on qualifications, talent and drive; financial status is never a deciding factor.
As such, there are deserving students each year who have the will but not the means to participate in the program. It is truly a waste if such a golden opportunity were to slip by due to insufficient funds or the lack of financial support.
