The BSM group visited LEGO at its head office in Billund, Denmark. Two representatives from the Corporate Culture Department and a product designer gave interesting presentations of their job scopes, the challenges faced by LEGO and discussed about LEGO’s future path. The group then spent the afternoon touring a LEGO factory and catching a glimpse on how LEGO assembles its figurine toys through highly specialized machines. The group also toured the packaging facility where parts of LEGO toys are sorted and packed into boxes.
Throughout the presentations and the tour, LEGO representatives were very helpful in answering many questions by various BSM members. The group’s visit was also made comfortable with LEGO talking efforts to prepare pastries and traditional Danish open-face sandwiches for the group. Furthermore, LEGO was very generous in giving out two sets of LEGO toys to each BSM member.
